Cameron Walker-Miller

Hello, My name is Cameron, I am a full time MA student in the CCTE department. Additionally, I also work full time for the University. I am the Technical Specialist for, Columbia Video Network. CVN is the distance learning arm of the engineering school and its various graduate programs. While most of my responsibilities are production related, a large portion of my daily workload includes ensuring smooth communication paths between faculty and the distance students. I also oversee the usage and maintenance of various distance learning tools by various course participants. An immediate benefit from my participation in this design studio might be, to better advise faculty with course instruction ideas.

Before enrolling in this program, I majored in Film Studies at the University of Pittsburgh. In between my undergraduate studies I worked at an NFL team for two season, as the team Assistant Video Director. As a general assistant for a now defunct film post-production house in the West Village , and as the resident sound designer for a small theater company in Pittsburgh . During my final two years at the University of Pittsburgh, I worked as a preschool teacher at Pitt's lab school .

I am 29 and live in Brooklyn, I have an 11 year old dog named Lily.
