Question 1: What is a "technology"?

Technology - A directed, structured, and repeatable set of processes used to accomplish a reasonably predictable result. a. Directed processes are the processes that contribute to the realization of the end result of the intellectual or physical endeavor. b. Structured means that the process steps are required to be accomplished in a certain pattern (e.g. sequential, random, parallel) to attain the result with the desired predictability. c. Repeatable processes are processes that can be defined and can be re-executed to attain the desired goal. d. A reasonably predicable result is the goal (intellectual or physical) of executing the structured process steps. Culture - A collection of conventions subscribed to by zero or more people. a. Conventions are ways of 'doing things' including: language, sustenance, intellectual pursuits, and interpersonal relationships. The conventions could also include 'meta-cultural' activities to perpetuate the conventions themselves. b. Subscribed to means that the conventions are followed (willingly, by force, or ignorance) and shared by members of a group. c. The conventions defining a culture are held by zero or more people: Active culture: one or more people (i.e. a community) subscribe to the conventions, Dead culture: only knowledge of the culture exists. --GeorgeB 14:10, 26 May 2009 (UTC)

Education - A change in a person's perception(s). a. Perception is knowledge of the physical or intellectual worlds. b. A perception change like a Wilson and Sperber (Relevance Theory, http://www.phon.ucl.ac.uk/home/PUB/WPL/02papers/wilson_sperber.pdf) contextual implication is knowledge of the physical or intellectual worlds that is newly formed, reinforced, or modified. The agent of change could be an other person, an enlightened insight (e.g. inductive or deductive reasoning), an event, or a physical phenomenon. c.
