Please report any problems you experience with the system here. Fixing problems is more easily facilitated if you describe them as specifically as possible. It also helps if you include the following:
- Type of computer you are using
- Its operating system, with version number
- Which browser you are using, with version number
- The name of the page where you encountered the problem
- The date when you encountered the problem
[edit] In general
Internet Explorer seems to render pages more effectively for printing; Firefox more effectively for the screen.
[edit] Known difficulties
As of January 8: Some users of Internet Explorer 6.x and 7.x find that part of the left hand sidebar is not visible on some pages. When this happens the functionality of the sidebar is still active and you can use it by moving the mouse slowly down and watching the messages in the Status Bar at the bottom of the IE window. This is a stopgap, of course, and we are trying to diagnose and correct the problem. If you encounter it, please supply the information in a problem report.
[edit] Problem Reports
January 14, 2007: When an external link wraps around the end of a line using Internet Explorer, the arrow at the end of the link signifying that it is external ceases to show on the screen. This is a very minor problem, not only on StudyPlace, but on Wikipedia as well, suggesting that it is a bug either in Internet Explorer or the MediaWiki platform. Encountered on diverse pages using a Compaq nw8000 running Windows XP Professional and IE 7.0. Robbie McClintock 11:37, 14 January 2007 (EST)
January 23, 2007: The red and blue arrows in the Help:New articles context page do not render properly in Internet Explorer 7.0 on Dell, with XP.

- Fixed, although the arrows look best in Safari on a Mac, then Firefox on a PC, not so great on Firefox on a Mac, and not good on IE on a PC. Interesting.

- Still not rendering on my machine. There is an almost complete outline of a red and a blue box, but no arrow is visible. . .
- neil 10:30, 23 January 2007 (EST)
- I have only the red & blue outline as well, with IE 7.0 on a Dell laptop.

January 29, 2007: I'm not sure if this is really a problem or something I'm still missing, so I've put my comments on top of my user page, but I had a hell of a time figuring out that I was incorrectly re-naming external links because one of them worked either way.Eric Strome 22:35, 29 January 2007 (EST)
