Help:Edit tab
From Studyplace
An article page or study page carries content in forms that you read and navigate with by clicking on links, but to change or add to that content you must click on the edit tab. Doing so brings up an edit box with the content of the article or study page in it, including the simple Wiki formatting codes that make links and affect the way material appears on the article page. The edit box can seem strange to new users, for all of us are accustomed to word processing programs that show us only the effects of formatting codes, but hide the codes from us. The editor in StudyPlace shows us the codes and requires us to delay the gratification of seeing their effects for a moment. Either way, you need to put the formatting code into the text and the basic coding conventions that the StudyPlace editor uses are easy to type and limited in number and will quickly become habitual.[1]
- ↑ In addition to its own limited set of conventions, MediaWiki permits extensive use of HTML markup, which will allow for complex formatting effects. Collaborative creation of good content, however, thrives by keeping presentation relatively simple and direct.
